We typically think of mobile devices as providing “on the go” access; however, the results of a new study of more than 1,000 US adults may surprise you. The data from the Local Media Tracking Study (LMTS) conducted by Burke for the Local Search Association (LSA) found 56% of consumers are more likely to do mobile shopping or research at home than when they are out and about.

What does this mean for marketers, brands and retailers? Mobile devices are being used all the time, in a variety of places and at each stage of the consumer journey – including purchasing research. Do yourself and your business a favor – make sure your brand, services or goods can be easily found through mobile search. Your customers and your bottom line will thank you.
